Sodium Dichromate
Sodium Dichromate offered is also nown by the chemical name of sodium bichromate; Bichromate of soda; Disodium dichromate; Sodium dichromate(VI) and others. It has molecular formula of Cr2Na2O7 and molecular weight of 261.967539 g/mol. Made available as crystalline orange to red colored inorganic compound, it emits toxic chromium fumes upon heating and is highly corrosive and strong oxidizing agent. It is used for producing other chromium compounds as well as for drilling muds, in wood preservatives, in metal treatments, in production of dyes and organic chemicals.
